HMPtransfer App - Data privacy policy – as constituted 06/2019

General Information

We consider the protection of your personal data to be an important issue. In this Data Privacy Statement, we inform you, as the users of our mobile application, about the scope, type and purpose of the collection and use of your personal data. The valid statutory provisions on data protection in the Federal Republic of Germany form the legal basis for the handling of your data.

What are personal data?

The term "personal data" refers to all information and details that can be linked to a natural person in any form. These include details such as a person's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or device ID.

Responsible party

This Data Privacy Statement only applies to the use of the mobile application "HMPtransfer" (hereinafter referred to as the "App"). The responsible party for your personal data is the company HMP Magdeburger Prüfgerätebau GmbH, Bülstringer Strasse 6, 39126 Magdeburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "HMP").

The collection and use of personal data

Our App does not collect any usage, location or device data from your mobile phone. The App also does not automatically access other applications on your mobile phone, for example your contacts or photos.

In order to use the App, users must register by entering a user name (e-mail address) and being allocated a password. The user name and the password ("token") are then stored on their mobile phone as encrypted data. These data are solely transferred and used to identify users when the measurement results are transmitted to our web application "HMPreport".

If you use the "Contact" Menu option to send us an e-mail, a new message will be opened in your standard mail client. When you contact us via this function, your details (e. g. your first name and surname, e-mail address and other contact details provided) will only be stored so that your enquiry can be processed and in case subsequent questions arise.

The measurement results transmitted to the App are stored on your mobile phone as encrypted data.

No data are disclosed to third parties. You also have the right to receive information on all of the data that we have stored about you at any time. To request this information, please send us an e-mail at: info@hmp-online.de.

The use of cookies

Our web application uses "Cookies". Cookies are small files that are stored on your device (e. g. your smartphone, tablet or PC). The files store information concerning your device and enable us to, for example, recognise users of our web application if they access it again. This helps to increase the user-friendliness of our web application and is only used to record statistical data on the use of the web application. Cookies do not contain any personal data. Cookies are also not known to run any programs on or transmit viruses to devices.

As a user, you can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers automatically use cookies. In your browser, you can specify whether you want to allow, limit or completely block the use of cookies. Please note, however, that limiting or blocking cookies will also limit the ease of use of our web application.
